Drug Pusher

NATIONAL DISASTER: MILLIONS OF CHILDREN PRESCRIBED ANTIPSYCHOTIC DRUGS THEY DON’T NEED.

Are doctors going crazy? US psychiatrists prescribe antipsychotic drugs to children in one third of all visits, which is a rate almost three times higher than during the 1990’s.

Roughly 90 percent of antipsychotic prescriptions written between 2005 and 2009 were prescribed for something other than w
hat the US Food and Drug Administration approves them for.

Researchers say the increase in antipsychotic drug prescription is largely to treat disruptive behaviors, including attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) – even though those disorders are not treatable by antipsychotics.

Medications such as Abilify and Risperdal, which are used primarily to treat patients with schizophrenia, are increasingly being prescribed “off label” to control youngsters with ADHD who have problems controlling their behavior
.

“Only a small proportion of antipsychotic treatment of children (6 percent) and adolescents (13 percent) is for FDA-approved clinical indications,” said Dr. Mark Olfson, a professor of clinical psychiatry at Columbia University, in an interview with Reuters.Children with ADHD are most often taking drugs approved for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and irritability with autism.

“People from all walks of life are taking medications for mental-health conditions,” psychiatrist David Muzina told the Wall Street Journal.

In 2010, Americans spent $16.1 billion on antipsychotic drugs meant to treat bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and depression. But whether they are effective or not, the drugs have been known to cause other health problems, such as diabetes, high cholesterol, muscular tics and weight gain. A University of Massachusetts study found that kids taking antipsychotics were four times more likely to develop diabetes.

Between 1993 and 2008, 31 children died from taking Risperdal and more than 1,200 suffered serious health problems.“We have a national catastrophe,” Dr. Peter Breggin told US News World Report. “This is a situation where we have ruined the brains of millions of children.”

But in many cases, antipsychotic drug prescriptions are not even necessary to treat behavioral disorders. There are psychosocial interventions, such as parent management training, that are able to reduce aggressive and disruptive behaviors in kids, Olfson said.Instead of taking the time and money to gradually reduce their children’s behavioral problems, parents are opting for antipsychotic medications for an instant fix.

Drugged from a young age onward, many American children will grow up dependent on serious antipsychotic drugs they had no need for.

THE PUMPKIN SEPARATION SPELL

Unfortunately, we all get into predicaments in which we feel trapped. This pumpkin spell has never failed us. You will need:

2 miniature pumpkins
A black felt tipped pen
1/8-teaspoon black pepper
1/8-teaspoon salt
14 tea candles

Seven days before Samhain, hollow out both pumpkins. Write your name on the bottom of one pumpkin and the situation (or person) you wish to be removed from on the bottom of the other pumpkin. Sprinkle the two peppers and salt in the bottom of the pumpkin of the other person or situation. Vent both pumpkins with a small-carved design (your choice). Set the tops of the pumpkins in an open plastic bag in you refrigerator. Set the two pumpkins three inches apart on a table where they will not be disturbed. Hold your hands over the pumpkins and say:

"Pumpkin light, Witches fright

Send (name the person situation or person) away this night."

Keep repeating the charm until the palm of your hands become warm or tingle. Put a tea candle in each pumpkin and light them. (Don't burn yourself) let burn for one hour. Do not leave unattended. Each evening change the candles, move the candle another inch apart, and repeat the charm. On Samhain Eve, repeat the spell at midnight. Let the candles burn until 3:00 A.M. Do not leave the candle unattended. Put out the candles. Close up the candles with their respective lids. Bury one pumpkin on one side of the river, creek, or railroad crossing (please do not go on the tracks). Bury the other pumpkin on the other side of the river, creek, or railroad crossing. If you can't bury them throw them into a living body of water (not near each other). Do not throw the candles in the water. Throw them in a dumpster away from your house.

Note: If something strange happens with the pumpkins that would cut your spell short (like if the pumpkin collapses), don't worry about it. This means that the spell has been activated and you don't need to continue. Dispose of both pumpkins in the manner listed above. When my daughter does this spell, invariably one or the other pumpkins disintegrates in less than two days (which is why I warn you not to leave the little pumpkins unattended).

Overcome Depression Spell

Tools you will need are: Protection Incense (herbs or oils work fine also), Yellow 8" Taper Candle

It is best to find a work area that you can leave untouched for three days. If you must put away your tools, try to at least keep your spell candle out in the open. This spell is used to uplift your energy and overcome depression. Read over this spell and customize it prior to use-the work will go much smoother. Prepare your work area by setting up any tools you may use. While setting up your area, CONCENTRATE on the purpose of your work. Imagine how good it feels to be happy. Do not let negative thoughts enter your mind! ( I think it might be helpful to have two or three positive affirmations written out to help you keep your focus. If you catch yourself thinking negative while the candle is burning you can redirect with the affirmations. Afterward you could carry themin your pocket or purse to pull out and reaffirm and reactivate the spell***witchrain***)

Just prior to your work, bathe in purification herbs, or with your favorite bath salts. While you are bathing, concentrate again on the purpose of your spell. Again, do not let negative thoughts enter your mind.

After bathing, go to your work area. Cast a circle and light your incense. Envision a large, yellow ball of light surrounding you and your work area. Hold the yellow candle between the palms of your hands and direct all of your positive energy into the candle.

Place the candle in its candle holder. Prior to lighting the candle, say (either aloud, or to yourself):
"This candle represents the love and energy I have for myself"

Light the candle and say (either aloud or to yourself):
"As I light this candle, the veil of darkness that is ever present in my mind is lifting. The darkness ceases to exist as the light of this flame glows. Long has the darkness filled my mind, my desire to be happy is intense like the heat of fire. As this candle burns, my spirits are lifting and the negative energy is washing away. I will be happy, my life will be peaceful. I can see myself as I wish to be-happy and free!"

Sit back and watch the candle burn. Meditate on how good if feels to be happy and envision the veil of darkness lifting.

When the candle had burned 1/3 of the way, say:
"As the flame of the candle is extinguished-the light burns forever in my mind" and blow out the candle.

Repeat this for two more nights.

On the last night, after the candle has burned away and the leftover wax has cooled-throw away the leftover wax into to trash and envision your depression being thrown away with the wax.

You will overcome your depression!

Witches' Dance

Witches' Dance

By light of Moon, I oft did hear,
Their singing in the woods.
Bright candle flames, like fireflies,
Outside the Circle stood.
They say the Witches gathered there,
Wherein the dark did dwell,
Afraid to meet within the light,
The reasons I've heard tell.

The Witches' dance, beneath the Moon,
I would that I might go,
To be so free and light of heart,
And let my gladness flow.
But the Witches passed beyond the mist,
Some scattered, many dead,
Their voices stilled, all laughter gone,
The forest stained with red.

The nights were full of emptiness,
No Magick in the air.
Much sadder was the world I knew,
The forest much less fair.
They promised to return some year,
When portents would allow.
There's changes in the wind these days,
Perhaps the time is now.

Earth power is awake again,
And once more we are free.
Our Magick has returned to us,
In stream and field and tree.
O who will dance the Witches' Dance,
Within a forest glade?
Come join the dance, as 'round we tread,
And do not be afraid.

Witch

~ The 21st Century Witch ~

Standing in her kitchen, she ponders her life
Her never ending job as a mother and wife
She thinks back to the days of Olde
And how the witches lived as the stories are told
So much has changed throughout all these years
Fear for their lives replaced with new fears
Do we let it slip at work of the path that we follow?
And face friendships replaced by words that are hollow?
She stirs a pot that’s simmering on the stove
Thinking back again to her ancestors in groves
Gone are the cauldrons and cast iron pots
Replaced by microwaves and thousands of watts
Gone are the secret circles under the trees
Replaced by online covens and groups with fees
Gone are the herbal remedies prepared with love and care
Replaced by drugstores selling remedies by the pair
When she thinks of what’s been lost, her heart grows heavy with grief
But before her heart breaks she remembers one detail with relief
The witches of Olde and their way that was wise
Are not gone completely or buried with lies
The greatest lesson they taught and passed down through the ages
Was to hold inside the wisdom and safeguard the sages
They taught us to blend in and adapt to the times
So that we may survive, grow and pass along their rhymes
So while she may not use a pot made of iron or stir with a branch from a tree
She takes pride in the knowledge that a witch she is now and will always be!

Faeries

She sees faeries
And talks to her herb garden.
And everyone laughs.
She feels colors,
And says there is magic in the moon.
And everyone laughs.

She never hurts anyone
And loves her oak tree like a child.
And everyone laughs.
She always helps a stranger
And the neighborhood strays adore her
And everyone laughs.

She sits and cries
And mumbles to the shadows,
And no one cares.
Once her hair was long and bright,
Now it is a matted mess
And no one cares.

She used to dance among the trees,
Now she can't find them
And no one cares.

Dreams of magic fill her days;
Magic she can almost touch.
And no one cares.

The day she died her herbs did, too.
And her oak tree bowed its limbs.
A single candle burned in her window
With naught there but the cats.
And no one understands...

Candles

The Gazing Technique

This is to be done when going to bed. You need something to focus on; if it is in view the moon, the stars, a crystal, a favorite doll will work well... Use whatever you like.

Just not a Candle or anything that burns!

This method involves the body falling asleep, and you should never leave anything that burns unattended. I usually use my crystal ball for this.

Place the object within your view and lie down in your bed. Just stare at the object as you doze off. The first few times may be frustrating. You may just fall asleep and that's it. But after a few tries, this worked for me.

Keep staring at the object. As your eyelids become heavy, keep staring. Eventually your eyes will close, but you will still be able to see the object. You will still be staring at the object. Sit up or stand up, and don't be surprised to see your physical body sleeping peacefully in your bed!

This works fairly well for me. When you are out of your body, do whatever you wish. I am still getting used to the out of body feeling (I achieved my first one only a month ago ), so I have not travelled any farther than the roof of our apartment building yet.

This time is yours. Just tell people that you are attempting this and don't wish to be disturbed.

Change your luck

Nutmeg Bath to change Your Luck-

You will need:

6 tsp. ground Nutmeg1 cup warm waterCoffee filter

Place the nutmeg in the coffee filter. Pour one cup of warm water into the coffee filter and let the tea brew. When the liquid is cool, run a warm bath and pour the tea in the bath water. Soak at least ten minutes. This bath will cleanse the aura and dispel any negativity.

Dream Catcher

"According to Native Americans, dreams that humans have while they sleep, are sent by sacred spirits as messages. According to their Legend, in the center of the Dream Catcher there is a hole. Good dreams are permitted to reach the sleeper through this hole in the web. As for the bad dreams, the web traps them and they disappear at dawn with the first light. For some, they try to determine what messages are being past onto them and what the message represents.

The Dream Catcher represents several meanings. All of the decorations and materials used to decorate them, all have a special meaning. A single bead in the middle may represent the spider that is on the web. Scattered beads throughout the web may represent good dreams that may have been caught throughout the night. A feather represents a symbol of breath or air which is attached so it hangs from the center of the ring. It is essential for life. A baby watching the air playing with the feather on her cradleboard was entertained while also being given a lesson on the importance of good air.

This lesson comes forward in the way that the feather of the Owl is kept for wisdom (a woman's feather); & the Eagle feather is kept for courage (a man's feather). This is not to say that the use of each is restricted by gender; but that to use the feather each is aware of the gender properties she/he is invoking. (Indian people, in general, are very specific about gender roles and identity.)

The use of gem stones, in some of the ones we make for sale, is not something that was done by the old ones. Government laws forbid the sale of feathers from our sacred birds. These include ALL Birds of Prey and include Hawk feathers, Bald Eagle feathers, Owl feather, Turkey Vulture feathers, and so on. Incorporating four gem stones into the Dream Catcher, is used to represent the four directions. Nature represents the spiritual inspiration in each.

When researching the long traditions of oral histories, storytelling has been passed down through the generations; from parent to child, grandparent to grandchild, or from one person to another. This is how the message continues to be passed on to future generations." - what a dream catcher is copied and pasted from History of the Dream Catchers, you can find more about it by going to the link that I will include as my source.
